    January 2004

Once in a while a Scandinavian model sees the light of day, this time a Brekina VW van. With some added detail like a sliding window in the doors it complements the layout just fine.

To get electricity to the station in the mountains a high-voltage line connects to the main station. This is a detail of the construction, anchored in the 'rocks'.

  February 2004

Originally designed to end in the woods, this track instead serves a fish factory. It's a spur in the Orkhavn station and we thought the woods was plain dull so we experimented with cardboard to see how it would look like.

We quickly agreed on shape and size, so we could once again happily mess around with styrene sheets.

  MaRCH 2004

Other projects continue too, like putting this buffer stop in it's place.

On other suitable spots some wooden planking is laid down to allow road traffic to cross the railway.

    April 2004

This tank for fish-oil will become the focus of the fish factory. We used the cardboard cylinder, shown two months ago, as base and glued thin Alu-sheet to it. The clinch bolts were made using a radialwheel.

The basic structures of the fish factory are also well on their way, what's left is the detailling...

  MAY/junE 2004

Last year we already started work on several coaches. Finally we got them painted. Perhaps next year we have time for a roof? ;-)

  JulY 2004

The tunnelwalls are installed and detailed. It's actually smarter to install those first and then build the mountain on top of it... Fortunately there was enough room left to install a styrofoam core into the tunnel opening.

To check clearances we build a 'right of way' car. An object hitting the car protrudes to far and has to be dealt with...

  August 2004

For some reason this summer progress is very slow. Not helped by the soaring temparatures that really drives you outside. Sometime we look like real people and not railwaymodelers ;-) That's why we only have the little advancement the coach from May/June made on its interior to show for ourselves.

    September 2004

A little more progress on the fish factory. The roof is up and ready for paint and weathering.

To get an even finer representation of the tin corrugated roof we used thin Alu-foil instead of the way-to-thick plastic roofsections commercial vendors offer.

    OCtober 2004

Bushes and other weeds suddenly appear on the strangest places this month...

..in preparation of planting the trees and other greenery.

  November 2004

The silo of the fish factory gets more and more detail, here's an example.

  December 2004

For all you Bill Odie look-a-likes: on the docks various gulls and other waterbirds found a spot to land. Obviously waiting to get a free meal.
